The OSI Regional Introductory Course (RIC-24) will take place from 15 - 21 January 2023 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The activity will be open to participants from States Signatories of the South-East Asia, the Pacific and the Far East geographical region. RIC-24 will provide a comprehensive introduction into on-site inspection related concepts, technologies and operations and will include also field exercise activity.
Objectives
- To acquaint national technical experts and personnel from the States Signatories of the South-East Asia, the Pacific and the Far East geographical region with the OSI regime;
- To broaden the pool of experts from the States Signatories of the South-East Asia, the Pacific and the Far East geographical region for participation in OSI related activities and identify potential candidates for the PTS roster of OSI surrogate inspectors.

The training course will refresh the knowledge and skills acquired by the 3TC trainees regarding the radionuclide and noble gas sample processing and provide hands on training with the next generation OSI Field Laboratory. The course will also update the state of knowledge of the 1TC and 2TC and refresh their familiarity regarding these topics. The course content will include the flow of the physical sample through the OSI Field Laboratory and the correspondent digital data through GIMO to the Working Area.
